On Friday, hundreds of mourners gathered in Kasambya village, Gomba District to bid farewell to Doreen Tashobya, the last born daughter to Hon. Rose Tumusiime, the Entebbe Municipality Member of Parliament. The 21-year-old’s life was cut short short after a speeding truck knocked her dead together with Patrick Busing on Tuesday at Muzinga Park, Entebbe.
Her burial was attended by various family, relatives, friends from all walks of life and several high ranking government officials. They gave moving eulogies about Doreen Tashobya, and described her as a sweet little girl who at her tender age of 23 had a bright future ahead of her.
Present at the Burial were IGP Gen. Kale Kayihura, Gen. Elly Tumwine, Government Chief Whip Ruth Nakabirwa, Wakiso Woman Member of Parliament and State Minister for Primary Education Hon. Rose Mary Sseninde, several Members of Parliament and Late Doreen’s former class mates at St. Lawrence.
May the good Lord grant her soul eternal rest.
