The Swedish Institute Alumni Forum and the Embassy of Sweden organized an event dubbed ‘Sweden @ Makerere’ that was held in the Makerere University Main Hall. The event included a photo exhibition portraying men as parents, a debate about parenting and career choice and Dj Racheal performing, among others, one can safely say that the event was to discuss gender and equality and to also inform about scholarship opportunities.
Since the semester is soon coming to a close, many students are very broke hence they will attend any function just for the food or snacks. This wasn’t an exception at the Swedish organized event that was mainly stormed by students that reside in hall. Students in hall suffer most from the brokenness syndrome but so do some students in Olympia and Nana Hostels who apparently often feed on jazz and air.

Like bed bugs in halls of residence, brokeness is real too and students strive to live yet another day by not missing any more events that are in or around campus.
