It’s exactly one year and a few weeks ever since the groundbreaking of a multi-billion project destined to change the skyline of MUBS. Well today, Campus Bee can reliably and exclusively report that a new beautiful addition is destined to make MUBS a wonderful and certified destination when it comes to business.
The construction of the Ultra-modern facility that will harbor the Faculty of Business Computing is expected to be finished done in a few weeks. MUBS is one of the 8 public universities that benefited from a grant worth $5.35million from the African Development Bank under the Higher Education Science and Technology scheme.
Last year, a group of dignitaries led by The University Principal, Professor Wasswa Balunywa witnessed the commissioning of the site and handed it over to Ambitious Limited, the construction company that oversaw the construction.
MUBS is the first university among the beneficiaries to put the grant to full use and it’s estimated to have cost a whooping 7billion UGX in the one year period.
The project is aimed at increasing on the skills of the students and equipping them with the rightful training to enter the job market easily.
“The project is a good addition to the University and with this good facility, the University is going to be able to produce one of the best business students in the region. After its completion, students will be able to access better ICT facilities, future internship placements, better learning and a conducive research environment”, noted Martha Abeja Ekure the Manager Strategy & Projects in an interview with Campusbee.
With already the captivating Main Library architecture, MUBS is slated to get an even better addition to its scenery of structures.
