[Photos] Kayoola Solar Bus Drive Excites Minister

Minister of Energy & Minerals, Irene Muloni & Makerere University Alumni were today left in awe and amazement after they took a fine ride in the prestigious Ugandan first ever solar-powered bus, Kayoola at the College of Engineering, Design & Art at Makerere University today.

This was during the launch of the East African Centre of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency on June 11, 2016 at the College of Engineering Design and Art which shall be the center for energy excellence aiming at making sustainable energy for all East African countries by 2030.

Applauding the makers of Uganda’s first solar-powered bus, Irene Muloni thanked them for a great job and making the bus so safe and clean.

The project is to contribute towards the increase on access to modern, affordable and reliable energy services and mitigation of negative externalities such as local pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.
