As earlier promised, large numbers of the Kenya University Students Organization (KUSO) have today morning (Thursday, August 23rd) marched to the Uganda Embassy in Nairobi to personally deliver their reasons why Kyadondo East Member of Parliament should be released.
The group was led by Hon Manyara Anthony, the Chairman of KUSO who earlier noted that all students will converge at Freedom Corner Uhuru Park. The determined Kenyan campusers were spotted holding placards reading “Say no to torture, free Bobi Wine” among other phrases all in the campaign to free Bobi Wine.
In an official statement released yesterday, KUSO condemned the arrest of this Kyadondo legislator following his alleged brutal torture, “The students’ fraternity of this country have watched in utter dismay the frustrations, humiliation and detention of the talented youthful Ugandan political leader Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine over fictitious and fabricated claims by a despotic regime.” Part of KUSO’s letter reads.
Besides Kenyan students, Uganda’s Kyambogo students officially communicated that there will be no lecturers, bathing and sex at the Banda-based University until Bobi Wine is set free.
Since his arrest, the youth from different corners of the world have taken to social media seeking the immediate release of the Kyadondo East legislator.
