Makerere University students today voted for the 86th guild government in the long awaited election that was physical/virtual. Several Makerere University students showed up at their respective colleges to vote for the new guild president as well as new members of the Guild Representative Council (GRCs).
Despite the morning rain that delayed the voting process, the physical election was generally peaceful following the heavy police deployment at several colleges in the university.
Campus Bee moved to several colleges like; Law School, Communication Journalism College, Education Department and captured a few moments of the voting process.
A few complaints have come in from the online voting system as some students revealed that they were unable to vote, while others complained over the slow system, however these complaints do not represent the general poll.
