The Makerere University Lumumba Hall together with Mary Stuart Hall organized this year’s ancestral/alumni night last Saturday October 6th which was held at the Mary Stuart parking side. Like it has been over the past years, the Lumumba community invited all its former generals (members) for yet another memorable night.
The night featured activities like singing culture anthems, eating porridge, roasting meat, dancing and more entertainment from the elders of Lumumba as well as the new generals. Some of the popular faces that graced the night include; Makerere’s revolutionary son (Simon Wanyera), singer Lil Andy as well as the recently suspended Obed Samuel.
A number of students were spotted engaging in voluntary activities like fetching firewood, fetching water, preparing the porridge so as to make the night a success.
According to the organizers of the ancestral night, Lumumba will help other halls in the University to hold such nights just like it used to be in the past.
Below are the photos from the night;
