The Makerere University guild campaigns are on another level. Yesterday saw students of Mitchell and University Hall host the candidates in a rally that saw the aspiring guild presidents try to convince the students to vote them into the guild office.
While this was happening, a bunch of crazy Makerereans carried pots and sucks to get high on local brew (malwa) while listening to the aspirants’ manifestos.
One student said that he had to get intoxicated with ‘malos’ to grasp the hard English most of the guild aspirants use while campaigning.
