First year students of Makerere University were on Tuesday captured by our lenses while familiarizing with the university environment during their orientation week that started on Monday, 22nd February.
Several students were spotted banging KB with their new pals at campus after spending nearly two years at home in vacation. Others on the other hand were seen queuing up at the Makerere Senate Building ahead of serious lectures expected to start on 1st March.
Makerere University College of Computing and Information Sciences (COCIS) was among those that held orientation on Tuesday.
Speaking of orientation, the activity is currently taking place at various colleges of Makerere which are expected to handle verification of freshers academic documents and enrollment into the AIMS system. Freshers will also be given students’ email (@mak emails) to enable them sign up for the university’s e-learning platform, MUELE.
Freshers have also been equipped with basic academic regulations as well as familiarizing them with the university environment.
