After recently being crowned Miss MUBS (Makerere University Business School – Mbarara Beauty peagant, Vanitah Busingye has used the platform to reach out to the community and help the needy.
Under a theme, “Empowering the Girl Child” Miss MUBS of this Mbarara branch gave back to the community in a charity visit to Mbarara Parents School and the surrounding community where she donated different items such as scholastic tools, sanitary pads to the girls.
In a charity campaign alongside city socialite MC Kacheche, Busingye motivated pupils to strive harder and keep in school so as to conquer temptations that come along the way such as alcohol and drugs. Inclusively, the community was educated on personal and communal hygiene to apprehend diseases.
In an interview, Busingye says her project majorly focuses on supporting the girl child which brings to why they provided sanitary pads which help girls manage their menstrual periods and overcome being ashamed of the ‘messy’ condition.
