Last Friday, St Lawrence University (SLAU) held this year’s Freshers’ ball at its Rubaga-based campus. The classy decorated venue was flocked by the University’s freshers, continuing students, University management and other campusers from different Universities.
The event featured a number of activities including competition for Mr and Miss Fresher, music performances, dancing among others. Besides seating in comfortable chairs, the revelers were treated with free meals and drinks.

The Freshers’ ball started as an organized event where students sat calmly as they enjoyed a thrilling performance by Fefe Bussi but later turned violent when B2C, Cindy and Gravity stormed the stage. SLAU students could not hide their excitement anymore and decided to surround the stage
Headed by the late Prof Mukiibi’s daughter, the University management took an opportunity to cut cake as well as honoring Mukiibi’s memory and legacy. Unlike the previous Freshers’ balls that have happened around Kampala, St Lawrence administrators were given an opportunity to hold short and precise speeches.
