Tusingwire Romulus, the MUBS Guild President and a presidential aspirant for Uganda National Students Association (UNSA) recently melted hearts when he soaked himself wet to wash cars in a bid to improve fellow students’ welfare.
The car wash is Tusingwire’s initiative to save school dropouts who cannot raise tuition to further their studies. This year’s edition went down on 9th November at Esteri Grounds, Nakawa.

According to Bless Mwebaze, one of the beneficiaries of the car wash, Tusingwire reportedly helped other students who are not MUBS scholars.
“He has really put MUBS to great heights by serving the needs of the students and above all he carried out a car wash tuition campaign and it was the third time he carried it out. What is unique about the recent one is that he even helped those who are not in MUBS as well as secondary and primary kids,” Mwebaze said.

While speaking shortly after the car wash, Tusingiwire revealed that creating solutions has laways been his passion. The MUBS leader also highlighted on the fact that he is not doing this because of his position but rather out of his own character.
“I always say be the solution provider than adding salt to the wound. I know not that everyone can benefit from the efforts of this campaign but trust me saving 50% of the 100% dropouts is a great deed.” Tusingwire revealed.
“I managed not only to top up for people from my great university of MUBS but also extended a hand to neighbouring schools and institutions like UICT,UTAMU,MTAC, UPHILL and Mbuya Parents school. Like I always say every life matters and whatever I do I do it out of love and I am not doing this because of my current title. I started this project in my first year before becoming a guild president so it’s all me” Tusingwire added.
