New female Nkumba university guild president, Ronah Kemirembe officially assumed office as Nkumba University third female guild president on Friday 8th May 2015.
Kemirembe received her tools of power from predecessor Julius Byarugaba at a handover ceremony held at Country Lake Resort – Garuga.
The 23 year old pursuing her business undergraduate degree and in second year was announced as the third university’s female guild president after beating seven other candidates in the race.
In her inauguration speech, Ronah reminded her subordinates to cooperate and leave an exemplary lifestyle that will leave a legacy for their predecessors.
The handover ceremony was presided over by the acting Vice Chancellor of Nkumba university, Bwenje Francis who cautioned the leaders against involving themselves in violent strikes.
He also asked them to work in unity and lead a responsible life as leaders as they concentrate on their studies.
Guests inclusive of Kemirembe’s relatives and guild relatives dinned at Country Lake Resort-Garuga with an after-party at club X5 where niggas broke bones, wiggled and danced like President Museveni just announced his retirement from politics.
