Robert Sentamu Kyagulanyi popularly known as Bobi Wine, a first year law student at International University of East Africa (IUEA) has today sworn in as Member of Parliament (MP) of Kyadondo East.
The student, artist, businessman and now politician ran as an independent candidate using a clock as his voting symbol.
Bobi Wine, who even shaved his head clean of the usual dreadlocks in the build up to the re-election was a clear favourite from the start of the campaigns.
He hinged his message on his background as a ghetto boy to reflect his position to best hold the interests of the common man and represent them in the August House.
Today’s ceremony saw all the ghetto youth marvel as their ray of hope finally made it to the August house. Below are the photos….taken by Florence Kyohangire | @Kakatshozi
Behind every successful man is a munyankole lady…Bobi with his Barbie.
From the ghetto to busabala to parliament…Barbie has always been there.
Bobi Wine’s dream wouldn’t have come true if it wasn’t for the ghetto youth.
