NTV presenter Raymond Mujuni on Saturday visited his work mate – turned fiancé Rita Kanya’s home in a Kinyarwanda traditional ceremony dubbed “Gufata Irembo”. The ceremony saw Mujuni and Kanya’s family meet in Kyambogo for the first time ahead of their wedding ceremony.
The excited Mujuni, who proposed to Kanya few weeks a go took to his Instagram to announce his move before thanking Kanya’s father for opening the compound for his family.
“Yesterday Rita Kanya and I took another step into our journey of purposeful , loving and caring union. The Gufata Irembo, a traditional function amongst the Banyarwanda is where the two families meet for the first time. The phrase itself means to open the compound.” Mujuni captioned a picture of him and Kanya that was shared on his Instagram over the weekend.
