ISBAT University held its 2025 graduation ceremony on 12th November at Hotel Africana, celebrating 687 students who successfully completed their studies across various disciplines. This year’s cohort marked a significant milestone for the university, with Cybersecurity registering the highest number of graduates, underscoring the growing demand for digital-security skills in the country.

The event drew key figures from Uganda’s ICT and higher-education sectors. The Minister of ICT and National Guidance, Hon. Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, officiated as Guest of Honour and congratulated the students for completing their academic journey at a time when Uganda is heavily investing in technology-driven development. His message focused on the importance of skilled young professionals in steering the nation toward a safer and more innovative digital future.

UCC Executive Director George William Nyombi Thembo delivered the keynote address, urging the graduands to seize the opportunities presented by the expanding digital landscape. He highlighted the critical role cybersecurity professionals will continue to play as Uganda strengthens its digital infrastructure.

The Executive Director of the National Council for Higher Education, Prof. Mary J. N. Okwakol, attended as Special Guest and commended ISBAT University for maintaining high academic standards while encouraging creativity and innovation among its students.

One of the standout attractions of the day was Isabella, ISBAT University’s humanoid robot. Developed by the institution’s engineering and AI students, Isabella entertained guests, interacted with officials, and cheered the graduands, drawing wide admiration from attendees and reflecting the university’s growing footprint in robotics and artificial intelligence.

The atmosphere at Hotel Africana was filled with excitement as families and friends joined the graduates in celebrating their achievements. Smiles, photographs, and emotional embraces filled the venue as students from ICT, Engineering, Business, and Applied Sciences marked the end of their university journey and the beginning of new opportunities.
