Kampala University passed out over 1, 500 students in a graduation ceremony that took place this Thursday. The graduands walked away with bachelor degrees, certificates, masters among others.
The Ggaba based main campus this time joined with other campuses of the university including the Luwero campus that’s boast of largely arts courses.
The Vice Chancellor Prof. Badru Katerega commended the graduands and hailed the ladies who has a higher percentage than the males.
“Today, I am happy to pass out skilled graduands of whom 58.8% are male and 41.1% are female and the largest of this kind. The university also has a steady increment in the number of students graduating each year,” he said in his speech.
The minister for Higher Education Dr, Chrysestom Miyingo was the presiding guest of honor on the graduation. He commended and assured the government’s commitment to support private universities in prviding quality education to all Ugandans.
