For the past few weeks, Obed Obedgiu Kwokuboth Jalmeo has been superintending a humanitarian campaign to distribute food and a few other essentials to over 1000 stranded students residing in halls, hostels and rentals around Kikoni and Wandegeya in a bid to rescue those victims that were not considered vulnerable enough by the government despite their repeated cries for assistance.
Speaking to Obed, our reporter learnt that this initiative with his colleagues was meant to run for two weeks, this one included and with the current resources attained from the various sponsors and well-wishes (themselves included) could help an estimate of 1000 students. He also called upon more sponsors and well-wishers to step-in so as to boost the campaign in order to reach out to so much more, specifically with a target of 5000 students in mind.
