Uganda Christian University (UCU) – Mbale campus is seeking to put up a sports facility that will facilitate most on -ground sports events such as soccer, basketball among others.
In that effect, a proposal is in sight by the University’s alumni (Alumni Eastern Chapter) which could see the institution boast to a state of the art stadium estimated to cost about USD $ 61997 (Shs 6 Million).
The move was initially announced last year by the institution’s administration.
The secretary at UCU Mbale – Mr Higenyi Erisa noted that this sports facility will be one for the books characterized by a vehicle parking space for over 300, include shopping malls, gymnastics among others.
This is expected to improve uptake, and awaken talents in sports activities by the youths both at and in the surrounding areas of the facility.
