The guild presidential aspirants of Kyambogo University leaning on the FDC party had their presidential debate yesterday 10th February 2020. The debate was hosted by NBS TV’s Canary Mugume and the Kyambogo University Debating Club President and his vice at the Students’ Center.
All the aspirants came with vibrating crowds that were bustling around as they blew heavy vuvuzelas while others carried their heroes on their shoulders, hoisting them in air to show how much they loved them. One camp swung in with a full blue bicycle which became the center of attraction.
There were some disturbances as the crowds could not give chance for any form of silence to take verge but later gave time for the brains to prove their candidates. None of these aspiring candidates was able to report in time as they first had to trek around the campus vociferating so that all the attention was on them. Their late coming earned them a fine from the FDC party which they accepted to pay.
As soon as the main moderator was in the house, the debate immediately set off, with the anthems and prayer leading the start. Provincial FDC individuals were able to also to attend in person among them including Hon. Namazzi Olive the LC3 Woman Councilor Kyambogo institutions, KYU’s former guild president Lugalavu and the current FDC party president Kyambogo Chapter Atto Sebbi Juma.
The candidates tussled out the tough philosophical and callous questions as the crowds cheered on. One candidate, Hon. Kiige Brian sent the crowd to an endless laughter when he failed to state the Kyambogo University motto.
The five FDC presidential aspirants are Mugisha Trust Nduwayo, Mwebaze Kato Enoch, Kiige Brian, Arigye Ceaser and Honourable Tukundane Ivan.
