Islamic University In Uganda has today appointed a new chancellor Professor Abdul Aziz Al-Zubair who will be replacing Dr. Abdul-Aziz Al-Sebail. The latter has been chancellor since December, 2015.
Professor Abdul Aziz Al-Zubair, now the IUIU chancellor was sneakily introduced to a congregation that attended lunch time prayers in the mosque at the institutions main campus in Mbale by the rector Dr. Ahmad Ssengendo. Appointed by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Professor Aziz will serve as the University council chairman sitting for the OIC, an organization that funds the institutions budget.

Before his appointment as a chancellor of the Islamic University in Uganda Professor Abdul Aziz was deputy minister and director of cabinet in Saudi Arabia and once a lecturer at King Abdul Aziz University, Jidda.
