News coming in from the proclaimed ‘land of milk and honey’, the Nakawa based Makerere University Business School guild president Matovu Jorum together with his cabinet have launched an initiative to save a fellow student only identified as Raymond who was beaten to pulp by the infamous ‘Kifeesi’ group.
Speaking to us, Jorum Matovu the Guild president said Raymond was beaten up on his way back home from doing his internship. The goons injured his spinal cord in the process and he just can’t do anything for himself now.

“Raymond is just another student like any of us, He did nothing wrong to deserve this. They injured his spine and he just can’t do anything for himself now,” Jorum said.

The guild cabinet has now launched an initiative to collect over 17 million which is needed for Raymond to under go for a spinal surgery in India. They started with shoe polishing at the school dining hall, collecting funds in lecture rooms and will climax the initiative with a charity car wash this Saturday, 8th October 2016 at Panamera bar, Naguru starting off at 9 am.
