Police have in custody a male medical intern on counts of rape while on duty.
The yet to be disclosed medic was arrested over the weekend after numerous complaints about his heinous acts.
According to the Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Police Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire, the intern nurse was working at Entebbe Grade B Hospital.
He was arrested for allegedly raping a female patient and attempting to rape two others.
The disgraceful medic reportedly identified his victim from the Gynecology ward and drugged her with suspected chloroform before raping her.
Police related to these suspicions after recovering suspected chloroform substances at the rapist’s place of residence at the hospital.
Owoyesigyire confirmed that the immoral physician is currently locked up at Entebbe Central Police Station as investigations proceed.
Authorities are urging other possible victims to come forward on suspicion that the intern abused other women.
