Students of Nairobi University were treated to a free bath. Unfortunately the bath was comprised of tear gas and irritants which the students’ bodies clearly didn’t enjoy. Yes we have seen teargas in Makerere University or Kyambogo but the police and army in Kenya unleashed rivers of teargas on students from all sides of the streets.
Students are seen trying to run away as teargas trucks spray those who were protesting that Raila Odinga should be kicked out. The students dispersed like insects as they tried to escape in different directions. But I must commend the bravery of Kenyan campusers who went ahead to strike again after several students were caned by soldiers a month ago.
