Tradition met fashion at the 2023 miss tourism Uganda talent night held at Vintage lounge, Adjumani on August 27th, 2023.
Hosting the miss tourism talent night for their first time, the Ma’di community was given a night to remember.
Electronic dance performances, modeling, and the cultural fashion walk made the Ma’di brave for the cold and rain to witness the talent night first hand.
The miss tourism queens were tasked to uniquely exhibit this year’s theme ‘greening tourism’ through their talents.
Even with the all-round wowing performances, six of the queens were eliminated and won’t be part of the grand finale where we shall see only one queen crowned miss tourism 2023.
The queens were judged based on their in-house behaviour and their ability to bring out the theme ‘greening tourism’ through art.
Miss Tourism queens are expected to be knowledgeable about tourist attractions across the country and, due to this, they had to tour Ma’di land prior the talent night.
Among the sites visited was Mountain Otche, Zoka central forest reserve, River Zoka, Aulogo cultural emblem and Arra fishing lodge where they camped.
