Reports reaching Campus Bee indicate that Sosipateri Nima, a lecturer from Uganda Technical College (UTC), Elgon branch, Mbale whose body was found lying naked in Saver’s guesthouse, Jinja town last week (on August 2) was reportedly killed after a suspected attack.
According to a postmortem report from Jinja regional referral Hospital , Nima sustained internal injuries. “No external injuries were observed but he had fractured 3rd and 4th rib on the right side, both lungs were contused,” part of the postmortem reads.
The police have opened up a murder case number CRB 253/2018 at Jinja CPS. It is said that Nima was attacked by unknown people who hit him on the lower abdomen and the chest which led to his death. However, Diana Nandawula, the Kiira region police spokesperson declined to confirm whether Nima was attacked as she emphasized that investigations are still underway.
It should be recalled that Nima had gone to Jinja to supervise a one Nyiro Hanington, a student from the college who was completing his internship in Jinja town.
