For the last two months, Gulu University students have wailed as a result of water absence that was shortly followed by constant power outages with a lot of curses and finger pointing towards Umeme and the National Water and Sewerage Corporation, Gulu branches.
Their repeated poor performances and service delivery have attracted very bad reviews from many unsatisfied clients that includes students of Gulu University, health centers and business men in and around Gulu town.
The power problem has not only affected the student’s public residence units but also damaged and spoilt electrical units and equipment both around and within the university infrastructures.

The university main library sockets have been spoilt with some bulbs in and around the university gone faulty, class rooms have gone dark and no action has been taken yet by the university administration.
As examinations kicked off on Monday, 6th May, students have taken to the university pathways, compound lights as well as security lights to grasp the last and deemed most important aspects of the various course units for each day that goes by.
