Presidential candidate John Katumba has promised voters in Ntungamo District to build Ntungamo University once he is voted into the presidency.
He was dismayed to find out that the district where the president and first lady were born doesn’t have a recognized higher institution of learning.
Katumba also assured the people of Ntungamo District and Uganda at large that he will down size the number of members of parliament and ministers such that expenditure on them can be channeled to health facilities and education sector.
His supporters were seen donating to him some money and he passed through safely and was not interrupted by police.
Katumba who was supposed to traverse the Rakai, Lwengo and Masaka showed up in Ntungamo District ahead of President Museveni’s campaign today, Wednesday.
