The President of the Republic of Uganda Y. Museveni Kaguta on Friday, March appointed Prof. Eli Katunguka Rwakishaya who also doubles as the Vice Chancellor of Kyambogo University Chairperson of National Council for Higher Education (NCHE).
In the appointment dated 22nd March 2019, the President appointed Kyambogo Vice-Chancellor in the office of NCHE for five (5) years.
“I Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, do hereby appoint Prof. Eli Katunguka Rwakishaya, Chairperson of National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) for a period of five (5) years with effect from the date of assumption of duty.” The appointment letter read in parts.
Professor Dr. Eli Katunguka-Rwakishaya is a Professor of veterinary medicine with a wide experience in Research Management. He is the former Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs) and served as Acting Vice Chancellor, Kyambogo University from 2014 until March 2017 when he was appointed as a substantive Vice-Chancellor of Kyambogo University.
