Makerere University Business School (MUBS) lecturer of economics has blasted the Uganda Police and The Electoral Commission for diverting traffic from Jinja Rod highway due to the ongoing presidential nominations for the 2021 general elections.
Ramathan Ggoobi called it a “culture of poverty” to close Uganda’s only main like to the sea. He tweeted: “One sign of a “Culture of Poverty” is when a landlocked small economy doesn’t understand the implications of closing their only main link to the sea for two damn days, simply because they want to nominate candidates to participate in an experiment whose results they already know.”
It is to be noted that Ramathan Ggoobi was appointed by President Museveni as a member of the NRM Manifesto Committee.
