A total of 13509 students will this week make it to the historical Makerere University 70th graduation ceremony that is taking place at the Freedom Square, in the heart of the university. The event started today and will end on Friday.
According to statistics, female students outshone their male counterparts with a percentage of 50.5 while the males occupied the remaining 49.5%.
The ceremony is graced by the Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda who represented the President and the Minister of Education Hon Janet K Museveni.
