Following the latest scrap off and merge of courses at MAK, there has been a lot of media attention and prominent comments after Development Studies students didn’t warmly welcome the idea and thus held captive their college principal as they protested against their course scrap off.
Former President Uganda Investment Authority and Associate Professor at MAK Professor, Maggie Kigozi did not leave out her comment when she pointed out in her latest tweet that Development Studies does not appear among the top 10 degrees that will get a student hired after campus which she attached with a World Economic Forum Tweet link that brought out a list of degrees that can get someone employed.
The 11 degrees list included Accounting, Computer science, Finance, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Information Sciences & systems, Management Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Logistics/ Supply chain, Economics and Marketing.
