Campus Bee would later learn that the beauty queen had two retakes and was meant to sit for her retakes this semester. Makerere University Business School (MUBS) would later come out to clarify the “falsehoods” saying that “Abenakyo cleared after the graduation books were printed.” It should, however, be noted that no student is allowed to clear and graduate after the graduation books have been printed.
Now, the latest in the grapevine is that Abenakyo on January 2nd 2019 wrote to the MUBS Principal Prof Balunywa to sit for a ‘special exam’ to clear her retake.
“The Principal [Prof Balunywa], in a letter dated January 8 2019, asked Prof Nawangwe if Miss World Africa could be given a special exam so that she can graduate in the Mak 69th graduation ceremony,” an Administrator who spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the matter told Campus Bee.
According to other sources at the Mak Senate, Abenakyo is said to have taken the “special exam” on January 12. “It is all a cover up. Who gave and marked the exam since by then the university was closed?” the Administrator at MUBS wondered.
