It’s public knowledge that Radiocity 97fm is where the fun is. The station prides itself in being a part of the biggest events in Kampala and it’s common in some circles to hear people say “You already know an event is going to be super fun if Radiocity 97fm endorses it.”
But this time the station really raised the bar by joining hands with Afrozons, RivExcel and the Dubai department of domestic tourism to take listeners to the biggest Afrobeats event, the Afrozons Soundoff in Dubai hosted by SheilahO. All listeners had to do was visit www.afrozonsdxb.com to stand a chance to win a fully paid trip to the 6 day event.
The event featured the biggest names on urban radio in Africa and Uganda was well represented by the super talented Sammy Wetala who hosts the #MidMorningMagazine on the station. The Lucky winners made the most of their time, enjoying the world class accommodation, the food, chauffeur driven rides through Dubai.
The biggest highlights were the desert Safari with winners cruising the bumpy desert and later on the desert party headlined by legendary Nigerian superstar D’Banj who got the revellers bringing out their A-game in terms of moves on the dancefloor.
