The Uganda Christian University (UCU) community is mourning the death of Sheila Nicole Alitwala Kadaga, a sister to the institution’s immediate past Guild President and son to Speaker Rebecca Kadaga- Timothy Kadaga. The two siblings are foster children to Rebecca Kadaga.
Sheila passed away on February 28th 2021.
“No words, no words can explain how I feel. Nothing will ever fill this void. I now have the second hole in my heart,” Timothy Kadaga wrote as he broke the news.
The family revealed that Sheila has been an industrious young lady.
They described her as an inspiration to many family members and friends.
“My hardwork has been driven by you. Whenever I reach home, you have always smiled,” Timothy mentioned.
Timothy also spoke of his unending love for his sister.
“You have always loved us more than we could ever do to ourselves. Rest well Tiira. I will see you soon,” he added.
Several people have sent condolence messages following the unfortunate news.
Kenneth Agaba Amponda, the current Guild President described the death as shocking news to the student community.
“I must say that we are saddened by such a huge loss. The UCU community is with you throughout this Mr Kadaga,” Amponda said.
He also asked students to support their former leader, Timothy Kadaga, through this trying time.
“You must be reminded that Kadaga needs us in this situation more than ever before. We must be there to comfort him,” he added.
Burial will take place on Wednesday in Mbulamuti village, Kamuli district.
