Days after his graduation from Makerere University, Dr. Hamza Sebunya who was rumoured to have been academically financed by his wife, Rema, has come out to squash the false rumours saying regardless of his wife making much more money than he did, he was on government sponsorship.
The fresh Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MbCHB) graduate has proven everyone wrong on what he called street talk. He says he has been pursuing his studies on a full government scholarship right from the beginning of his course.
“I was never strained about tuition because I‘ve been on government scholarship so my only responsibility was to always be available for my classes and clinical days,” said Ssebunya.
“My biggest challenge was accommodating both my social and school life but I had a day planner and it was success I must say,” he added.
Ssebunya graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Makerere University on Tuesday with a lot of pomp and fanfare that was seen on his arrival to the Freedom square to attend the ceremony. His wife, singer Rema Namakula also came out to congratulate his sweet husband on her social media pages.
