Undergraduate students across Uganda now have the opportunity to undertake industrial training announced by the Research and Education Network for Uganda (RENU), in partnership with the Marconi Society, the Network Startup Resource Center (NSRC), International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) and Resilient Africa Network (RAN).
Under the eduroam – Expanding Remote Access to Information initiative, the move seeks undergraduate students entering their final year for a workforce development opportunity to gain skills in identity management and federation, database administration, mentorship from global leaders in Information and Communications Technology (ICT), and post-program engagement in managing their university’s rollout of eduroam, a platform that allows students and faculty access to university resources on and off-campus.
