The body of fallen Cancer patient, Carol Atuhairwe who passed on in India is set to be flown in this afternoon, Campus bee has learnt.
Reports indicate that Carol Atuhairwe, 31 succumbed to throat cancer on June 1st 2017 at 20:00hrs EAT at the Naragana Hospital, Bangalore in India where she had been hospitalised for more than a year and her body is expected to reach Entebbe International Airport this afternoon around 2:00pm.
Muhereza Kyamutetera, the #SaveCarol campaign leader informed journalists that there will be a church service tomorrow, Tuesday 6th, 2017 at 10:00am at the All Saints Church Nakasero before it could be taken to her ancestral home in Ibanda District, Ishongororo, Kabale village (Turn off at Mailo 61 on Ibanda-Kamwenge road) where it will be laid to rest on Wednesday, June 7th 2017.
The family with much gratitude and honour, thanked the country at large for they ‘heartedly’ supported their daughter until her last breath..
“We wish to heartily thank everyone for standing with us and fighting with Carol till her last breath. May God reward you abundantly.” – A statement read, from the family sources.
Ivan Muguma, a brother to the deceased added on that Carol was such an amazing person that will greatly be missed for her amazing character.
“She was amazing, She was my sister and I last saw her at the airport as she was leaving for India. ” ‘It is so hard that I have to meet her again at the same airport, but this time life less.” – Ivan narrated to our writer
