Ruparelia Foundation has always sheltered the education of many Ugandans, including the recent one of renown song lad Fresh Kid. The foundation is now offering over 500 study scholarships to youths joining the university this academic year of 2019.
In a letter dated 02nd April 2019, Rajiv Ruparelia writes to the minister of state for youth and student’s affairs informing that the foundation will be offering these scholarships under its youth scholarship scheme 2019 and it will cover undergraduate programs for bachelor’s degrees and diplomas at Victoria University Kampala.
The scholarships will be offered under study programs such as Faculty of Health Sciences taking 200 offers, faculty of business management taking 150 offers, faculty of science and technology with 200 offers, faculty of humanities and social sciences having 250 offers as well as department of petroleum and energy studies having a lion’s share of 300 offers.
According to Rajiv Ruparelia, the scholarships will cover 70% of the tuition fees and the minimum qualification for the degree program is two (02) principal passes and one (01) principal pass for diploma holders.
Although the letter did not state when applications for the scholarship will start, one can still find information on the above from the Jinja Road based Victoria university campus.
