Sad info reaching the Campus Bee news desk indicates that Mr. John Bosco Ssenyonga, a lecturer at the Department of Visual Arts and Design at Uganda Christian University (UCU) has died. According to information shared on UCU’s twitter account, Ssenyonga was laid to rest today Saturday 26th June at 11am.
“On a sad note we announce the death of Mr. John Bosco Ssenyonga which occured yesterday from Nsambya Hospital. He was a lecturer at the Department of Visual Arts and Design. Mr. Ssenyonga was laid to rest today at 11:00 AM in Butozo. Please keep the family in prayers.” UCU said in a tweet.
Information reaching Campus Bee indicates that Ssenyonga was also a lecturer at Kyambogo University and he succumbed to COVID-19.
It should be recalled that UCU Mbale campus recently lost Mr. Samuel Okware who was a lecturer in the Department of Business and Administration. Besides UCU, other universities like Makerere, MUBS, Kyambogo, among others have lost lecturers during this lockdown that has lasted for less than two weeks.
