Makerere University is mourning the loss of Grace Wilson Igaga Mutekanga, the composer of the university’s anthem.
The sad news was confirmed by Makerere University’s Vice-Chancellor in a tweet expressing condolences to the university community.
The tweet also confirmed that Mr. Igaga passed away early today at the Uganda Cancer Institute – Mulago after a long battle with cancer.
