A second year student of Education specialising in Economics and Geography at Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) – Main Campus in Mbale city has passed on after being involved in a road accident, Campus Bee has learnt.
The Guild President of IUIU, Yusuf Yusuf has identified the deceased as Ibrahim Mudoma who was also the Minister of Gender and Social Welfare in Islamic University Students Union (IUSU) Government 2020-2021.
“I can confirm the death of our school mate Ibrahim Mudoma in a road accident that happened last night at Mbale High Court,” Welinga said.
“The deceased who was pursuing Bachelor of Education Majoring in Economics and Geography was involved in a motorcycle accident,” Welunga told Campus Bee.
Welunga says the burial of the remains of the deceased will be laid to rest today in Bufumbo in Sironko district .
Two weeks ago, another IUIU student identified as Humphrey Linga was also involved in road accident and died on the spot in Kapchorwa district.
