Sorrow befell Kampala International University – KIU (western campus) on Monday as disturbing news of the demise of one of their own reached their ears.
A one Akankunda Evas, a fourth year student who had been pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in medicine and surgery at KIU was reported dead on Monday 4th April, 2022.
According to sources, Akankunda was found lying lifeless in her room in Kiryandongo town where she had been attached to Kiryandongo General Hospital.
Police in Kiryandongo town is still investigating the circumstances that might have led to Akankunda’s death.
