The greater part of Sunday Morning, 14th August had the hashtag #RIPAbel on every Law Development Centre (LDC) student’s mind.
Most of them woke up to shocking details of the demise of their very own Abel Nuwabine who was killed the previous night in a Hit and Run incident around Polylydia Hostel in Nankulabye.
According to friends, Abel was rushed to Mulago Hospital after the fatal incident and while there, the doctors assigned negligently refused to attend to him.
What is more hurting is that Abel died just a day to his Final Exams at LDC. Death robbed him of a chance to sit the exams he has been toiling for the whole year and which would climax his days at LDC and bridge his way to advocacy.
Abel was born in the Western Uganda District of Kamwenge and had been so committed to his studies until the night a reckless driver stole his life from him.
He completed his Bachelors Degree from Makerere University and according to William (one of his friends), Abel was calm, humble and really loved his education.
“For the humble being he was, death shall not succeed at making him shy away from his dream career. Death robbed him of his career.” Intimated one of his friends.
The funeral service is happening at St Francis at the moment. Burial arrangements are underway and may his soul rest in eternal peace.
