The Law Development Center (LDC) is mourning the untimely loss of one of the students.
The deceased has been identified as Peninah Kavunani who had been pursuing a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice.
LDC revealed the unfortunate occurrence in a statement via X;
“Passing of our esteemed Student Peninah Kavunani. It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the passing of Peninah Kavunani from firm C2. We extend our deepest condolences to Peninah’s family, friends, and all who knew her.”
The exact cause of death is yet to be disclosed as friends and family continue to find strength in these tough moments.
Peninah was also eulogized by the law society of Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) where she had just graduated with a Bachelor of laws degree in December 2023.
