Sunday 25th, February 2018 will always be remembered as just any other days that come and go but not to the family, friends and well wishers of Regina, a fallen student of Makerere University.
According to sources at Makerere, the deceased identified as Regina Angaywa, a Kenyan first year Bachelors of Business Administration student was a resident of Kikoni’s popular Waveney Courts Hostel. She was found lying lifeless on Sunday evening by her roommate who was just coming back from her weekend routines.
The source tells us that Regina (RIP) came back from home with health complications and it is suspected that she got an attack while alone in the room without anyone to give her a hand.
“We honestly don’t know what happened, she was being called by a friend all day but no reply so when they went to her hostel in the evening to check why she wasn’t picking up calls, and if she was there, they found her dead,” a friend said.
According to the now former classmates that Campus Bee managed to reach, the deceased has been so lively, friendly and humble but she always got attacks in class and consequently rushed to the University health centre.
The room mate only identified as Joan was in shock and could hardly give us a comment by the time of penning down this story. Police was last evening called to take the body to Mulago hospital for post mortem.
It hurts to lose a child with a future so bright this way. Our heart felt condolences to the family, friends, classmates and all well wishers. Rest in power, Regina!
