Sadness has engulfed the Makerere University community following the sudden death of Kamwasir Jeremy, 20, a first-year student who has been pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Kamwasir reportedly began developing complications on Friday (17th January) and later died yesterday (Monday 20th) over Kidney failure. The deceased hails from Kapchorwa District where he has spent his just concluded holidays.
His close pals describe him as a very bright young man who has been studying Electrical Engineering on government sponsorship. More details indicate that Kamwasir scored 20 points in A – level, and his loss has been a big blow to the university and the country at large.
“Its so unfortunate that we lost him as young as he was 20 years old” one of his friends emotionally stated.
The 20-year-old Electrical Engineering scholar died just two days after the official opening day of semester II of Makerere University.
