Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) member of staff, Dr. Peter Mugisha who doubled as health worker at Mbarara regional referral hospital has succumbed to Coronavirus, Campus Bee reports.
The demise of the deceased Dr Mugisha was announced first by the MUST Alumni official Facebook page later on, announced in a statement released today by Ministry of Health.
The deceased also worked as a dermatologist at the Mbarara based University.
“With deep sorrow we announce the death of our beloved dedicated staff member Dr. Peter Mugisha who was a dermatologist. We pray for the family of the deceased to be comforted during this trying moment.” An announcement from MUST reads.
According to reliable sources, the deceased leaves behind a wife and a young son.
The late Dr Mugisha’s untimely demise leaves shock and grief amongst the Mbarara University community.
