Kabale University is in a moment of grief following the demise of the Institution’s Council Chairperson, Hon. Manzi Tumubweine, who succumbed to COVID-19.
The late Tumubweine, 80, passed on Friday, at Case Hospital Kampala where he was receiving treatment.
Before his demise, Hon Tumubweine had earlier presided over Kabale University’s 5th Graduation which saw thousands bag the milestone. On the same event, the late Tumubweine addressed the graduates and, below is what he had to say:
“Some of you got first class, upper and lower, others a pass. It is not your certificate that helps you in the world. It is your character. Keep the right company, keep yourself healthy. Don’t be angry with yourself, the world and society. Don’t look at what others are and what you are not.” Hon Tumubweine (RIP) said at the graduation ceremony.
“Be better than what you were yesterday. It may not be easy to get a job in your profession, look at other things too” he added.
The deceased also ever served as Member of Parliament for Rukiga County and Minister of State for Privatisation.
May his soul Rest In Peace.
