Graduation is a day we all anticipate for it stems the road for a better future and yet for Dorcus Asiimwe, the happiness had an abrupt ending when the family that had traveled to celebrate with her perished in an accident on Sunday in Lungala-Kkoba village, Masaka road on their way back home.
Dorcus Asiimwe who had graduated with a degree in Public Administration and Management from Uganda Christian University only two days back got the shock of her life when news of the death of her loving family was relayed to her.
The accident that claimed the family was caused by a collision between a double cabin pick up belonging to NAADS reg. No UAR 010L, and a Mark II reg. No UAY 786G that was driving to Kampala.
According to Mpigi District Police Commander, Ahmed Kimera, Dorcus’ little sister, Esther Asiimwe, a F.6 vacist who had already secured a place in UCU and the double cabin’s driver died on the spot. Five people died while others sustained injuries.
Masaka road has been known to claim a lot of lives including a recent accident at Kampirigisa,on Saturday which claimed 20 people.
